Jeff was originally trained to be a high school teacher at Washington State University.  After his first child was born he decided to seek more training so that his wife could be a stay-at-home mom.  After receiving a master's degree in management from WSU Spokane, he purchased Action Moving Services with his father, John Gish.  He enjoys the challenges that accompany self-employment and is continuously looking for process improvements within the company.  Jeff's management training and steadfast commitment to customer service uniquely suit him to lead the Action Moving Team. John has been in the moving industry 36 years, but helped his grand father even as a teenager. He is 3rd generation in this industry and gets to work with three of his family members here at Action Moving Services. The moving industry is a personal business and he enjoys helping families through the challenges that relocating creates. He has done everything there is to do in the moving industry and at one point or another has worked at some level with every major van line in the industry. He likes working with Bekins because they are big enough to take care of issues and still small enough that from the CEO down everyone is treated like family. That translates to happier team members and better service to our customers. With his extensive experience, John is very creative in developing solutions for our customers. John’s main job is training, while managing the large list of corporate clients the he has developed over the years. He will be heading up our new operation that is scheduled to open in Seattle May 1, 2011. He is a hands on type of a person. All of his clients get his personal attention and assistance in planning and dealing with issues that come up. He takes a lot of pride in the fact that he continues to have such a large number of repeat customers. After this long in an industry many people look forward to retirement. He believes that as long as he can think and talk he can be of assistance. He looks forward to working with his family and friends to assist in planning and performing in the moving industry for many years to come.

Joanna has been with Action since early 2007 working behind the scenes as the Operations Manager. She has shifted her focus to coordinating moves full time and working more closely with customers. Joanna has over 10 years of customer service skills and her upbeat personality shows it.  She strives to do all that she can to make the transition to your new home smooth and without unneeded worry.

Dennis spent 25 years in sales and management of his family owned Moving and Storage Agency in Fairbanks, Alaska.  In 1990 he earned a PhD in Marriage and Family therapy and was licensed as a Marriage and Family therapist. In 2009 Dennis and family moved to Spokane and reconnected with  his old friend John Gish who had worked with him in moving and storage for many years in Alaska.  Dennis accepted John’s invitation and returned to the moving and storage industry with the Action Moving Team. His background in transportation combined with his experience and empathetic understanding of family dynamics enables him to provide outstanding service and support for our customers dealing with the stress and strains of the relocation process.

Cory Hebner - Safety Officer & Vehicle Maintenance - coryh@bekinsams.com

Cory makes sure that Action's vehicles reach their destination safely and on time.  He graduated from Spokane Community College with two associate degrees in applied science, one in Automotive Technology and the other in Diesel/Heavy Equipment. He has worked for Action Moving Services since May of 2008. Cory maintains and repairs the Action fleet of 17 power units and 39 trailers.

Shawn has been moving furniture since he was big enough to pickup a box. He worked at his family's moving company until 2000 when he took over as President. After deciding to get out of the ownership side of the industry he landed at Action Moving Services as an over-the-road driver, a position he held for two years. In October 2010 he accepted the position of Operations Manager. It is his hope that with his background, both in management and as a driver, that he will be able to help improve the moving experience for both the customer and the crew.
